Collection: Diana Townsend

Diana Townsend grew up surrounded by writing as her mother was an author who wrote books, magazine stories, and even TV plays, in the days when dramas were transmitted live.

When she left school, Diana joined forces with her family to create a remarkable model circus which was displayed around the country. Later, the family bought a derelict school which they transformed into a tourist attraction.

Diana inherited her mother’s love of words and has written plays for schools and community groups as well as scripts, two of which have been produced as feature films.

More recently, she completed a series of memoirs under the title Me, My Family and the Poltergeist which explain how she discovered the derelict school her family restored came with an uninvited guest.

Diana lives near the sea in Devon, with her husband, Robert.
